Shirley Cowan

Rev Shirley Cowan

The next Vicar

for  Holy Trinity and St Ann’s

Rev Shirley Cowan will become the next Vicar of Holy Trinity and St Ann's Warrington at a service at Holy Trinity at 3pm on Sunday 3 April 2016. She will lead her first service at St Ann's at 10am on Sunday 10th April 2016.

Shirley has significant experience in ministry and community.  She was until recently assistant curate at St Stephens Church in Gateacre where she developed new services and supported teams to encourage ministries such as Messy Church, that has been attended monthly by up to 100 children.
As a former teacher, she has a heart for schools ministry and has been an active governor of a local school.
During her incumbent's study leave, she had the experience of leading the parish for four months.
She is committed to the agenda of helping the church to make a bigger difference and has been actively involved in church community initiatives such as Street Pastors and Debt Counselling.

We look forward to her starting in this new ministry and to welcoming Shirley and her family into our community.
